Peetz School I use blogs in my classroom to enhance the curriculum. Blogging allows students to have a public audience and for us to collaborate with others.
Bob - I think this is a great way to keep the students with you - they have less of a chance to have their minds wandering off topic if you have them respond to something.
I would like to begin blogging in my classroom because I currently have several sessions of the same class. However, since we don't all meet at the same time I want to ensure all of my students have the same information. I think its a huge step in the direction of 21st Century and that is a goal of our district so in keeping with our district goals and up on technology I would like to begin this practice!!!

1. I can see that it would be a great way to continue communication with students especially with their out of class schedules.
I also can see that it may create more time on task for the teachers unless they are great managers.
2. Allows students more freedom to work on assignments at their pace or away from the classroom.
Only works if students have access to a computer and the internet.
3. Fosters communication student to student if completing team or group assignments.
