Web 2.0 is the read/write web, where the contribution of the user is as much a part of the experience as receiving information.

Web 2.0 is what people call new ways of showing or using things on the Internet.
• Web 2.0 is simple: easy for anyone to publish their work on the Internet
• Web 2.0 is social: easy for people to connect with other people
• Web 2.0 is open: easy for websites and computer programs to exchange data with other sources

Web 2.0 is a social platform relinquishing control giving people flexibility to find, organize, share and create information in a collaborative way that is globally accessible. Web 2.0 is an attitude, not a technology.

Web 2.0 is...unlike 1.0 is more focused on genuine interaction between users. It encourages users to up-load and download information. Web 2.0 is a generation of web based communities and hosted services made up of social and networking, wikis, folksomonies...to aid in collaboration and sharing.

Web 2.0 is as Tim O'Reilly says, a "solar system of sites" Wikipedia say Web 2.0 "allows people to collaborate and share information online.: It is described as second generation which gives users an experience closer to desktop application than traditional web pages--first generation--do not. Paul Graham says that Web 2.0 "means usimg the web the way it is meant to be used." Basically, the article from Read/WriteWeb says that there is aproblem in trying to define Wen 2.0 because you can't in a single sentence or paragraph!"

Web 2.0 is a new application of the web that enables users to collaborate and share ideas. It is a change in the way people use the web.

for excellent tech ideas...

I would use this in my Digital Design class where I teach kids how to tell visual stories through moviemaking. I would have kids create entries for the movies they watch and short reviews, movie mistakes, favorites, discussions on movies could happen through some comments.
